Blake Schwarze

Coach Balek has been coaching at The Batter’s Box for over 12 years. Blake’s baseball career began on the hallowed grounds of Brenham’s Fireman’s Park, playing for the legendary Coach Jim Long. Blake held numerous hats as a Brenham High School player, holding down the second base position and a pitcher. Blake earned All-District honors his junior and senior season as well as an All-Greater Houston Area Tournament Team selection as a second baseman but it was hit time on the mound for Brenham which ulitmately lead him to the pitching rubber at Blinn College. After his playing time at Blinn he finished his Bacherlor’s Degree in Business at Sam Houston State University.

Blake’s patience and vast knowledge of playing multiple positions as a player is used in his coaching style to get the most out of every player he coaches.
